The water effect is created using acrylic varnish on a plastic sheet.

This particular piece has been created using a pre-mixed Artex (that is dry) and powder paint.

The brick retaining wall towards the centre has also been created from Artex.

'Weeping Willow'

The many models and dioramas that I have been involved with have included military, Scalextric, railway and architectural. The shot below gives an idea of the size of this particular model and how the landscape is worked up for larger areas.

 

The Completed Road

Various methods have been used in forming folds and contours in the landscape for different scaled projects. A few years ago I wrote and produced for a railway magazine (no longer printed) a series of articles on modular landscapes.

This is one of my earlier model trees.

Model trees can be produced to almost any scale and for most species.

My own model railway is controlled using the excellent 'ZTC Controls' system.
